Född 1930 i Kristinehamn.
- Studier:
- Valands konsthögskola, Göteborg 1948-52 under ledning av Endre Nemes.
- Studier i Paris 1953 för Fernand Léger.
- Representerad i Sverige:
- Moderna Muset, Stockholm.
- Göteborg, Kristinehamns, Värmlands, Eskilstuna, Borås, Bohusläns, Uddevalla, Helsingborg, Ystad, Skissernas i Lund, och Lunds museum.
- Statens konstråd. Värmlands läns landsting, Göteborgs kommun, Eskilstuna kommun m. fl. offentliga samlingar.
- Representerad utomlands:
- Musée Maillol, Paris
- Musée d'Art Moderne, Grenoble
- Musée de la Frîncerie, Gien
- Musée de l'Abbaye de Baeulieu-en-Rourgue
- Musée des Beaux-Arts, Alger.
15 augusti 2008 tilldelades Bengt Olson Värmlands läns förtjänstmedalj av Landshövding Eva Eriksson, för "Synnerligen fötjänstfulla insatser under lång tid och av bestående värde."
